The brain child of the visionary Susie Tweedie, Chidambaram was established in 1998 after workshops with Colin Blakely and Erin Scrutton. From the 30 workshop participants the band evolved into a smaller more concrete group. Throughout time Chidambaram has seen many changes: different members, formations and teachers. The original line up consisted of Kasey Peters, originally a jazz drummer, who became group leader and teacher until March 2005. Then Una stepped in to carry the torch, imparting her vast samba experience to us until this day!
